University Distinguished Professor - Michael Boivin, PhD, MPH

Congratulations to Dr. Michael Boivin for receiving the designation of University Distinguished Professor at the June 16, 2023, MSU Board of Trustees meeting.  The title of University Distinguished Professor is awarded by the MSU Board of Trustees, at the recommendation of the provost and president, to select faculty members who are nationally and internationally recognized for the importance of their achievements.  Awardees have superior teaching skills that encompass the breadth and depth of their discipline, a distinguished record of public service, and scholarly, creative and artistic achievements.  The title of University Distinguished Professor is permanent for the duration of a recipient's service at MSU.  It includes an annual stipend for five years to support professional activities.  Dr. Boivin is one of 142 faculty who have been selected for this prestigious designation since 1990.  Dr. Boivin is a Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University.
