The National Institutes of Health - R01 Grant Awarded to Michael Boivin, Ph.D., M.P.H. (2019-2024)

Michael Boivin, Ph.D., M.P.H., is the Principal Investigator of the "Culture-specific neurodevelopmental assessment of HIV-affected children" project, which will be funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development of the National Institutes of Health through 2024.

With NIH support, Dr. Boivin has developed an open access African Brain Powered Games (BPG) for school-age children living in the sub-Sahara who have been diagnosed HIV.  HIV+ children participate in Computerized Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy (CCRT) through the BPG-based digital games package.  And, as the children play, BPG will gather useful game data for neurocognitive assessment.
