MSUCOM 2022 Summer Symposium Lecture

Larry Charleston, MD, IV, Professor and Director of Headache Medicine and Facial Pain in the MSU Department of Neurology and Ophthalmology participated in the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine 2022 Summer Symposium in Traverse City, Michigan on June 24, 2022.  This symposium focused on topics relevant to the primary care physician (regardless of discipline) and included updates on specific populations.  As the breadth and scope of medical knowledge required for competent medical practice grows on a yearly basis, it becomes imperative for the clinician to have a broad fund of knowledge applicable to large groups of patients seen in the primary care setting.

Dr. Charleston's lecture was entitled:  "Toward Achieving Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Headache Medicine: Migraine Diagnosis and A Perspective on African-American Disparities in Migraine."
