Dr. Kvalsund Named 2018 National Academy of Medicine Fellow

Dr. Michelle Kvalsund, an assistant professor of neurology for the Department of Neurology and Ophthalmology, has been selected as the National Academy of Medicine Fellow in Osteopathic Medicine for 2018-2020. This fellowship will allow Dr. Kvalsund to interact with distinguished members of the National Academies and actively participate in health policy and planning discussions with our nation’s health policy leaders. Dr. Kvalsund will also receive funding to expand her neuromuscular disease research efforts in Lusaka, Zambia as part of the award.
