2021 Distinguished Alumni Award - Dr. Linda Keilman

We are pleased to announce Linda Keilman, NP, GNP-BC, FAANP, Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology and Ophthalmology and the College of Nursing is the 2021 recipient of the CON Distinguished Alumni Award.  The Distinguished Alumni Award recognized nursing leaders who have attained the highest level of professional accomplishments, and/or has advanced the profession through practice, research, education, or administration.  Recipients must have demonstrated community service on a local, state, national or international level. 

Dr. Keilman was instrumental in securing funding and working as a curriculum expert for the Geriatric Education Center of Michigan whose mission is to advance geriatric education within the state to take care of older adults throughout Michigan. 

Dr. Keilman enjoys working with older patients and families to help them live quality of life every day despite their diagnosis and then being with them at the end of their life and providing palliative care and hospice services.  She also enjoys working with students and watching them grow and become her colleagues.
