Research Interests

Dr. Irfan’s research overlaps epidemiology, public health and global health, clinical research, and data science/machine learning. He has carried out nationwide studies across a broad spectrum of diseases including cardiovascular diseases and cancer. His recent work has led to clinical outcomes predictive systems utilizing machine learning methods that are defining data science-driven health equity. He has also used data science methods that have allowed studies that impact national public health and global health policy.
