I earned my medical degree from Damascus University, Syria in 1997 and then completed my Neurology residency and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan in 2003.

After completion of training, I moved to Utah and practiced general neurology.  In January 2021, I joined the faculty at MSU.
