I was born in Phoenix, Arizona but grew up in Port Huron, Michigan where I attended elementary, middle, and high school.  I have spent the past several years in the Mid-Michigan area between my undergraduate degree at Saginaw Valley State, taking a year off to work as a medical scribe at Covenant Hospital, and completing medical school at Central Michigan University in their second class.

Why did you choose to become part of Michigan State University Neurology?

Ever since I completed an audition rotation here early in my fourth year of medical school, I've been extremely impressed by the family environment of the Department of Neurology and Ophthalmology program here at MSU.  There is not only a deep commitment from the residents, attendings, and staff to their patients, but to each other.  The environment gave me a fantastic learning experience, as well as access to state-of-the-art resources.  I knew on my interview day for the residency program that I would want to contribute to this department.
