Congratulations to Jayne H. Ward, DO, Professor and Associate Chair, on being chosen to serve on the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) beginning July 1, 2020 through September 30, 2023. 

Dr. Ward has served as the Neurology Residency Program Director in the MSU Department of Neurology since 2002 and recently served on the ACGME Neurology Residency Review Committee for the past five years and the ACGME Neurology Milestones 2.0 Committee. The ACGME’s core function is accreditation of sponsoring institutions and residency and fellowship training programs within the United States.  The ACGME sets standards for effective training programs, monitors compliance and is committed to improving the patient care delivered by resident and fellow physicians today and in their future independent practices.  

We are proud to have Dr. Ward recognized for her longstanding dedication to graduate medical education and her representation on a national level to ensure professional educational standards essential in preparing physicians to deliver safe, high-quality medical care to all Americans.
