Biography
Biography:

I was born in Albania and moved to Michigan at the age of 8. I grew up in Troy, Michigan where I attended Athens High School. I was always active and loved playing every sport and as such I am a big sports fanatic. I moved to East Lansing to pursue my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University. During my undergraduate years, I had the privilege of helping establish a new school run organization here at MSU, called GH2HG (generate help 2 heal generations). During my tenure there, we were able to donate medical supplies to many less fortunate countries including Syria, Haiti, and Mexico. I completed medical school at Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and will pursue a neurology residency at MSU/Sparrow Hospital.

Hometown:

Troy, MI

Why did you choose to become part of Michigan State University Neurology?

I completed two rotations with Michigan State University at Sparrow Hospital during my 3rd and 4th years of medical school. I instantly felt part of a family during my time there and it was obvious that everyone loved to teach. These were some of the same faculty I had the pleasure of learning from during my first two years of medical school and who initially sparked my interest in the field of neurology. I believe that will all the great mentors here and the diverse population in mid-Michigan, it will provide me with the exceptional training to become a great neurologist.

If you were not a doctor, what would have chosen as your career?
