Why did you choose to become part of Michigan State University Neurology?

Neurology was my first clinical rotation during medical school. The neurology residents and attending physicians at MSU sparked my interest in the field and made the transition into the hospital an easy one. They were very welcoming, eager to teach, and made me truly feel like part of their team. During fourth year, I rotated with the program again and experienced the same camaraderie, supportiveness, drive for learning, and compassionate patient care that I had seen during my third year of medical school. The academic strengths of the program were also an important factor in my decision. I was looking for a program that offered the opportunity to learn both inpatient and outpatient neurology within a diverse and large patient population, faculty trained in a variety of subspecialties, a strong didactic component, and opportunities for research. I am excited to be learning neurology at MSU and know that this program will provide me the education required to become an excellent neurologist.
