Shana Radomski

Instructor/Fellow, Vascular Neurology

My dad was a fighter pilot and my mom a nurse in the Air Force. We moved to Phoenix Arizona and eventually settled in Hartland, MI when my dad went to fly for the National Guard and work for Ford. I attended MSU and the University of Michigan and graduated with my Masters in Physical Therapy. As a PT, I worked for Sparrow, as well as several other metro Detroit hospitals.

I chose to go back to school so I could expand outside the scope of practice of physical therapy and always planned to focus on Neurology. I attended Michigan State’s Macomb campus for the first two years and then did my third and fourth years at Sparrow Hospital.

I am married and have two incredible daughters, Meagan (11) and Madelyn (8). All of our immediate family reside in Michigan but our extended family spans the United States, Canada and Germany. We take every opportunity we can to visit.

I was born on an Air Force base in Germany

Why did you choose to become part of Michigan State Neurology:

I chose MSU to do my neurology residency because of the amazing faculty and residents that I worked with in the third and fourth years of medical school. I also feel that Sparrow/MSU will provide great learning opportunities.

If you were not a doctor, what would you be?
